Pets

Cats, dogs and birds (except pigeons) must be accompanied by Veterinarian Health Certificate bearing seal of local Board of Health and not be issued over ten days prior to arrival. Pigeons are prohibited entry. Pets may enter as passenger's checked baggage, in the cabin or as cargo. Generally pets are not permitted in hotels.Upon arrival to Belarus pets are required to be registered with a local veterinary service within one month of arrival.

General Information

Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Russia to the north and east, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the north. Its capital is Minsk; other major cities include Brest, Grodno (Hrodna), Gomel (Homiel), Mahilyow (Mahiloŭ) and Vitebsk (Viciebsk). Forty percent of the country is forested, and its strongest economic sectors are agriculture and manufacturing.
